During Art Basel 2011 we had the pleasure to work along side Shiraz events to create a spectrum experience at the 1111 Lincoln Rd building. It all came down to 5 sketches of lounge areas scattered throughout the venue's empty cement canvas, each one in a different color to create a whole spectrum.
Here are some images of our production team making it happen.

Cotton 24 hour fashion show on Lincoln Road

This last Saturday we created the VIP lounge for the Cotton 24 hour fashion show. From noon Saturday until noon on Sunday, models walked the runway one per minute for a total of 1,440 different looks showing cotton appropriate looks for every hour of the day. The lounge area included our signature lounge chair with black cushions along with pillows that matched the events logo colors.

It's not a secret we are crazy about stripes and bold colors. Last week we had the opportunity once again to show our love for these classic patterns at the lounge we created for the Elite Bridal Network Event at the Epic Hotel. The theme was Red Hot Summer so we searched for an inspiring picture and found the one below. After thinking how to incorporate the colors in the lounge we decided to design a chevron print with different shades of red to get the sunset effect. We placed the print on our new piece: "The Banner Display" and placed it on top of the illuminated bars that were used as dividers with banquet sofas on each side of them. It turned out perfect as it felt like you are sitting and watching the sun goes down (get it!).

The banner display is made from clear plexiglass, its light weight and can be used as a divider, bar backdrops and table centerpiece. The main purpose is making your message as clear as possible for your clients to see while keeping an elegant and minimalist approach. We can print any image you would like or company logos. Danny Santiago's 50th Birthday Bash Weekend

Over the past weekend Ronen Rental's design team went beyond event furnishing to help manage and design Danny Santiago's 50th Birthday Bash Weekend. From venue selection to invitation design we were there every step of the way throughout the planning process. The result was a modern take on Truman Capote's famous Masked Ball for the Saturday evening party and a retro inspired Tea Dance for Sunday afternoon.

Here is the story:

Saturday:
The two day event started on Saturday night at Glasshaus Studios with a masquerade ball. The inspiration behind the Black Tie event was Truman Capote's 1966 black and white masked ball at the Plaza Hotel in New York. The idea was to combine the element of galmour behind Capote's ball with the modern design and art deco architecture of Glasshaus Studios.

Our design team, together with photo stylist David Arthur Fittin, researched the different elements and concepts from the infamous party that they could bring into the design. The invites set the tone for the evening. The invitation featured original pictures of masked guests from the 1966 party. At the entrance, our Image Display Box displayed a poster with a similar design to the invitation welcoming guest into the event. Two actors dressed in the required attire stood at the entrance and greeted quest as they arrived. Women were offered personal hand fans at the door just like they were at the 1966 party.

Once inside the party guests could mingle in two main areas, the pool lounge and the inside bar and dance floor. The idea for the pool area was to create a manicured garden using modern elements.Grass hedges and 15'illuminated cones from AirDD were aligned along side the pool to mimic the shape of the topiaries. Black and white striped cabanas scattered around the pool area were decorated with Banquet Sofa, Jasper Table, and two Silver Round Ottomans. A vignette of Pink Chairs and Mona Stools were placed by the grass hedges to bring a contrast to the black and white theme. Inside the studio a 20' L-shaped Illuminated Bar customized with vintage moldings served as the main focal point and added a traditional feel to a modern bar along with illuminated Ella Shelvings lined with bottles . In the center of the room projections of vintage movie clips played on 3 white spheres hung from the ceiling.

The inside lounge sat on top of a pink carpet and was comprised of Ivy and Banquet Sofas, Jasper Tables, and Mirror Bars aligned with candles. The black and white striped birthday cake was made by Ana Paz Cakes.

Sunday:
Sunday's party took place at a private residence in Miami's Design District. The idea behind Sundays party was a retro 50's inspired pool party. The "Tea Dance" as it was called, used the same concept as Saturday nights event by taking something vintage and putting a modern art deco twist on it. The invitations, also created by our design team, incorporated the color and theme of the party. The same image used on the invite was also displayed on a 4' Illumina Bar. The pink and black background for the invite reflected the colors used throughout the party.

Pink custom embroidered towels with "Danny's 50th" were placed around the pool for guest to use during the party and to take home as gifts. Black and white striped ottomans with white and aqua striped pillows were scattered in the grass area around the pool for guest to lounge on. Two cabanas with tables were set up in the middle of the yard to serve as a refuge from the hot sun and place to sit and eat. Pink flamingos were scattered throughout the property to accent the retro feel. The pool was decorated with black and white different size beach balls. The bar area included the 4'custom bar with the invitation image and a black and white striped umbrella.

Sex & the City 2 Screening and Party

The VIP event took place at 1111 Lincoln Road where nearly 500 women showed up for a private screening of the movie and party. The party attracted several sponsors and featured a pink carpet with a SATC2 step & repeat for guest to take pictures, live entertainment, and delicious Moroccan inspired food.

For the event, produced by Valerie Bihet of the the Vibe Agency, we created a New York Lounge, Moroccan Lounge, and a Boutique Vignette. Here is a brief break down of how we furnished each area:

The New York Lounge featured our brand new 4' Bronze Round Ottomans, Pink Chairs, Ivy Sofas, and Panier tables. For the bar area, we created an 18' Mirror bar and behind it used our new Ella Illuminated Shelving unit to display sponsor Lorina's sparkling pink lemonade.

The Moroccan Lounge reflected the movie's location change from New York to Abu Dhabi. The Moroccan inspired lounge was filled with our Lounge Chairs & Beds, and various accessories such as lamps, decorated pillows, and hookahs provided by Moroccan Nights. To go along with the theme we used our new Bronze Tufted Bars to create one 11' bar used for serving special cocktails made specifically for the event.

The Boutique Vignette featured mannequins with clothes worn in the first movie. The fashionable mannequins were placed on top of our Illumina Box Tables while designer shoes were showcased in our new Display Cases. Also in this area was a custom made poster display case that held the official movie poster (pictured above).

The name speaks for itself. This unique interactive bar behaves as a blackboard in any sense- it is built with blackboard pieces all around and creates a great center of attention. Draw on it for fun, post event menus, or write warm wishes for the bride and groom.

This picture was taken at the "Art of love" event which had a hair donation exhibit to benefit “Locks of love”, a South Florida based charity that creates hairpieces for financially disadvantaged kids that have an irreversible hair loss called Alopecia Aerate. During the event, kids drew with chalk all over the bar which was used as a sign in station. It was a big hit!

we as a design team, understand the importance of visual. Visual presentation is critical when impressing our clients is the main goal. This example of turning a sketch into reality is taken from a colorful, stylish Bar Mitzvah.

This sketch helped our client visualize color and pattern matching as well as the general lounge area layout. Our design team used real measurements of the space and furniture making the layout as accurate as it can be. As a result, our clients avoided any overbooking of furniture which may not be needed and saved money and time by doing so!

If you’d asked our design team two years ago which piece we would be known for, they certainly would not have guessed hot pink chairs! Yet the day we added them to the collection, they became our hottest item. So I’ll tell you a couple things you don’t know about our signature chair collection:

Each individual chair is a vintage piece that our design team revamped to fit into the collection!

All of the chairs are named after a character from the Babar cartoon. Check out the Baber’s family tree and see how many chairs and relatives you can match up!

Our next “favorite” victim is our creative director, Natlie Eshkenasy. As expected she jumped at the chance to tell me why the Denim Bench is the most “fab” piece we have in our collection. She said it with such conviction; I almost started to believe it was my favorite!

“A pair of jeans can define a period of time or span an era. Denim is a classic and effortless fabric that never goes out of style! You can put whatever you want with denim and it will look fabulous…”

If you could put the Denim Benches in any setting, where would it be?“I’d warm up an industrial space with the denim benches. I see it with the Hounds Tooth Illumina Box Tables and huge bright, maybe even neon, chandeliers! Or you can maintain a minimalist tone with clean and mirrored accents like the Jasper Table.”

How would you encourage the people to utilize the denim?
“I haven’t seen anyone else with denim furniture; it has an edge. It’s vintage, modern and comfortable all at the same time…Our eyes are used to seeing the fabric. Everyone has denim in their closet because it blends so naturally.“

If you were a fly on the wall in our office, you’d see that we each pitch certain pieces relentlessly and usually it’s the piece of furniture we wish we could take home with us.
You may hear something to the extent of “No! I’m sure your husband won’t mind sitting in hot pink chairs! Real men do pink…” It’s not that we’re trying to make shameless sales – it’s that we each pick favorites – there’s no getting around it. So in attempt for each of us to pitch our preferences, I’ve decided to take it to the blog, writing a series of entries highlighting each member of our team’s favorite piece:

Why is the Striped Lounge Chair your favorite?
“The bold print of black and white stripes has always caught my attention. It’s a classic look that I’ve wanted to add in for a long time to give the lounge chair a cozy Mediterranean twist.”

How can I make the stripes act more like a neutral so I can have other bold accents in my décor?
“Black and white can be incorporated into any color scheme. We wanted to give our clients an option other than all white or mango lounge furniture so that they could include some of our black furniture into their layouts. This print gives the rich wood an opportunity to mix with pieces like the Lana or Jasper Tables, fitting into classic outdoor setting. For an edgier look, throw some hot pink or bright green pillows onto the black and white stripes and you’ve got a brand new scene.”

If you could integrate the Striped Lounge Furniture into any setting, where would it be?

Earlier this year I walked past a building on Collins Ave. with detailing that resembled rattan weaving. I unexpectedly became fixated on the pattern and days later added the Rattan Illumina Box Table to our line. Many of our pieces have been sketched up after being inspired by Miami’s Art Deco style where the architecture personifies brave colors, interesting lines and vintage detailing.

When I first moved to Miami, I learned to respect how buildings proudly wore colors like hot pink or aqua. I’ve heard tourist call these tones invasive but I think that when teamed up with the sand across the street and the surrounding trees, they may actually be witnessing balance. In the same respect we designed pieces like the Grass Bar and Babar Chair, our signature piece, to play with an events décor and never against it.

If I take time to wander around the beach or the Upper East Side, I’ll most likely notice something new in a building which I speed past every day. If I wander with someone from my design team, I can guarantee that he or she will point out an element that I haven’t begun to appreciate. My assurance comes from knowing that Miami’s Art Deco style is hidden throughout this overexposed city…you just need to keep an eye out for details.

Ronen Bar and Furniture Rental Helps Celebrate 30 Years of Fashion

Celebrating 30 years of fashion and accomplishments, Danny Santiago displayed three decades worth of work and creativity with a little help from Ronen Bar and Furniture Rental.

Having worked alongside Patricia Field, stylist of the film "Sex and the City," Santiago displayed various designs from his own wardrobe warehouse that was worn by the four main stars: Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte.

We were proud to display our Ivy sofa with white pillows amongside Santiago's own personal vintage collection that has been collected over the years.

Below you will see a picture of the forth wall that had neatly displayed photos from editorial work he has done including Vogue and W magazine. Two of our rectangles were displayed in front of the wall with two illumina box tables on either side.

Launch Party for Monopoly Miami Gets an Added Touch by Ronen Bar and Furniture Rental!

If you're feeling a little bit apprehensive about investing in the real estate market nowadays, now you can pass go, collect $200 and buy a pretty nice location on Ocean Drive.

Ronen Bar and Furniture Rental participated in this past weekend's launch for Monopoly: Miami and the Beaches.

Attendees were able to play the game that very night on our own illuminated box tables that were custom made to display the Monopoly board. An outside area of the famed Bass Museum was taken over by the beautiful of Miami as they sipped drinks served behind Ronen Bar and Furniture Rental's white bars.

Games are now in stores and retail for $35.

Ronen Bar and Furniture Rental Gets in the Halloween Spirit!

Ronen Bar and Furniture Rental gets in the Halloween spirit at the last networking event held by the International Special Events Society (ISES) on October 14th. This event had a "Spooktacular" theme in honor of Halloween coming up. Held at the beautiful Tye Studios in Fort Lauderdale, our furniture pieces inluded some of our classics with a twist. Amazing Halloween inspired hor'doeuvres and cocktails were provided by Aaron's Catering that were decorated with the perfect touches for Halloween.

Our illumina box tables were custom made to display classic Halloween images like a witch flying on a broom and "Boo!" displayed on the table tops. With the light shining through the acrylic tops, it really made a special touch to the Spooktacular Event! Our classic white benches were given an extra Halloween flare with black and orange accent pillows.

It was a great start to celebrating Halloween thanks to ISES and its coordinators!

Fay Didn't Steer Us Away from the Southeastern Educational Conference!

Thanks to the organizers that worked closely with Ronen Bar and Furniture Rental The Southeastern Educational Conference was still a success as Tropical Storm Fay quickly approached. Traveling the east coast of Florida right along with the tropical storm, Ronen Bar and Furniture Rental was still able to display its unique furniture at this year's Southeastern Educational Conference. Planners of the conference went to Plan B with moving the outdoor venues indoors of the Sawgrass Marriott Hotel in Ponte Verde, FL.

On Thursday night, Ronen Rental was able set-up its part at the golf inspired themed event at the TPC dinner with two grass bars with sleek white tops. At the bars, registered attendees of the event were able to enjoy a drink served by bartenders stationed behind the bars.
That same night, lounge areas were placed in the Champion's Ballroom that also went along with the golf theme. These lounge areas displayed stark white cushions accented with green pillows and were available for attendees to sit and relax.

Friday's events included a cocktail hour right before the big dinner. At the cocktail hour, the company's beach style furniture was featured with red and blue colored pillows to accent the colors of the SEC logo that were displayed on the illumina box tables. These illumina box tables were placed in front of the lounge chairs illuminating the SEC logo along with white cubes that also had the logo displayed. This served the attendees a comfortable seating option while they networked and enjoyed the hour before dinner.

After a scare from Tropical Storm Fay, SEC turned out great!

Ronen Bar and Furniture Rental proudly sponsors the Meeting Planners International's (MPI) 2008 Southeastern Educational Conference (SEC) that will take place at the Sawgrass Marriott in Ponte Verde, FL on August 21st through August 23rd.

Don't miss our unique and stylish lounge set-ups that will presented at this year's conference!

Our first set-up will take place Thursday night and will be featured at the TPC Sawgrass Home of the Players. This set-up will comprise our signature wooden lounge chairs with stark white cushions and accented with grass green pillows. Also featured will be our grass bars with white tops that fits perfectly into the golf inspired theme.

Our second set-up will take place Friday night at the Sawgrass Marriott poolside. This area is inspired by MPI's colorful theme of "Innovation Imagination Absolutely!" and will include a variety of colors and innovative ideas such as logo placements on our illuminated tables and basic cubes.

Beach Style Rental Furniture Gets a New Look

A new style to a favorite line has been launched as part of the new rental furniture additions to Ronen Bar and Furniture. The L-Shaped Lounge Chair has a new form to comfort with the back being in the shape of an 'L.' This design has been carefully modified and structured with the capabilties of being placed in a set-up with the already existing Double-Side Back Lounge Chair.

There are multiple set-ups that can be created with combining these two lounge chairs, as seen in the accompanied pictures. To have a more intimate and personal setting, you can have a face-to-face set-up. Or if you would like to draw your guests' attention to a specific area of your venue, you can set-up these lounge chairs as a "long view" so that your guests are able to clearly view the main attraction. As an event planner, this gives you the freedom to create the area you are looking for.

As with most of the furniture we provide, custom fabrics are available upon request. Standard colors are stark white and mango gold. Accent pillows are also available and add a colorful touch to the final look.
